Another banner ad created during my days at Internet Broadcasting. Using some dynamic bounce properties in the actionscript gives the effect of the blind being let go and popping open.

I created this “banner ad”, though we should use the term loosley as this is the type of advertisement that “page peels” from the top right corner of your browser. There are many ways to achieve this these days, including some very interesting non-Flash jQuery solutions, but this one is indeed Flash based and runs great! It has also been added to the Banner Ads section of my portfolio, check it out!

I’ve been working with Nick Hegge for a long time. I’m talkin’ way back when I was a Directory of Photography at ShopNBC and we were working on promo commercial spots together. So when he came to me looking for a website to showcase his work, I knew we’d be right in sync with each other and I could hammer this out in no time. The newest addition to the website portfolio is NickHegge.com. Based on a wordpress platform and using some jQuery elements, this site is ready to really show off all of the stellar work that Nick does.

Alright I confess… I’ve had a huge collection of banner ads that I primarily did over a 7 month contract last year. They sat on a harddrive forever and ever as I never got along to posting them. I spent some time today, gathered some of the best and put them over at Portfolio/Banner ads. I’ve also added sub-nav to the portfolio to make it way easier to look at the different type of work I do!
Here’s a sample of what you’ll find in there:

So it seems that a few great sites I’ve done have slipped through the cracks from the latest redesign of my site. Great ones like Greg Zrust, who despite me never having much contact with barbers (no hair) entrusted me to create a site for him that brings out both his style and a load of information.
While I can’t say from experience that he’s an amazing barber, I can tell you he’s a great, funny guy with a huge fan base from his work!
