Minnesota Associate of Independent Commercial Producers

Just an update that the new Minnesota Chapter of the AICP has launched and I’ll be continuing to support the website as it grows and changes needs from month to month.

The Association of Independent Commercial Producers is a nation-wide industry organization created by and for Commercial Producers. It’s mission is to act as the industry voice on a variety of matters; from continuing education of it’s members, contract negotiations, developing and maintaining industry standards and acting as a liaison with other television, governmental and advertising organizations.

I’m proud to support this non-profit going forward with an emphasis on opening communication throughout the members.

#NpTalk – current development and ongoing support

Please welcome #NpTalk to my portfolio :) I provide the web development of #NpTalk as well as the ongoing technical support.

The purpose of #NpTalk is to connect and empower people looking for ways to advance nonprofit missions with new technologies. We are committed to building a community that is open to discussion, growth and innovation. Our mission is to push the envelope on innovation, creative, cutting edge solutions, approaches and ideas to help nonprofits meet the challenges presented in this new economy.

Housing Authority of Racine County

I have recently completed the new logo for the Housing Authority of Racine County. I was doing some tweeking and assisting with the CMS training of of their upcoming website, and convinced them that needed at least a logo for their marketing materials.

Taking their direction of the letters making up the house and using some Open Source Google Webfonts, I created a logo that can be used anywhere, and is also versatile enough to re-use the same font throughout the website coming up!

New Web Development Partnership

I’m excited to announce that I’m working along side SocialNicole moving forward as her Web Developer.  Nicole works with businesses helping them to connect, engage and grow through social media and digital strategy. Continuing her desire to ‘change the world,’ Nicole also serves her nonprofit peers with a one-of-a-kind Twitter chat: Nonprofit Talk. Proving that the world really does become smaller by leveraging a social network that spans four continents and a half dozen time zones.

I’ll be working along side Nicole and her team to provide high end dynamic web sites to support the larger vision she has for her clients.  We are very excited, and you’ll be hearing a lot more about our work together!

Migrating a WordPress site

Here’s a project from a few months back!

A buddy of mine Luke Grohovsky, asked for a little help migrating a WordPress site that he had built from a development server over to production.  Always happy to help, this took me just a few hours of backing up the database and files, pulling them over and reconnecting everything.

Someday WordPress will make this a more seamless effort.  Until then…

MUSHR – Minnesota’s Unwanted Siberian Husky Rescue

A few months ago I developed the site for MUSHR.

The folks at MUSHR are an amazing group of volunteers and it was so nice to work with them and help!

Silver Star Travel

I recently developed this site for Silver Star Travel – sstartravel.com

A full service travel agent and agency, Lori Woodfield is now set up to edit and add to her site with testimonials and her blog.  Features such as a twitter feed and other dynamic elements were also part of this site’s total overhaul of look and function.

Common Hope

While in Guatemala late last year, I worked with the non-profit Common Hope.  The goal of Common Hope is to empower down on their luck Guatemalans to improve their situations, something I see parallels with even in web design.  We built a home for a family without one, and when I returned to Minneapolis, I contacted the organization and asked how I might continue to help.  They of course had a project that needed some development.

Please check out the Common Hope Volunteer Network, which I’ve given both extra functionality, and hours of best practice consulting.  Excited to be working with them on an upcoming forum where volunteers can continue to communicate after their work has been provided!

Career update!

Aka, where did Clint go?  Been pretty busy actually!  After 6 months of being very picky and fielding many different full time offers, I’m glad to say that I took a position over at Help/Systems.  I really wasn’t sure how I would feel about leaving the world of freelance/contracting and to go full time, but I’m really glad I did.  I work with some awesome people, and really kind of run the show as head of all things web over there.  Nice be able to call all the shots and not work through project managers to actually get things done :).  While I am a consultant for nearly our entire media presence, the bulk of my job is Drupal Development.  Getting WAY into the Drupal community and very excited about the whole new focus for my work.

Nick Hegge – WordPress site

Nick Hegge

I’ve been working with Nick Hegge for a long time. I’m talkin’ way back when I was a Directory of Photography at ShopNBC and we were working on promo commercial spots together. So when he came to me looking for a website to showcase his work, I knew we’d be right in sync with each other and I could hammer this out in no time. The newest addition to the website portfolio is NickHegge.com. Based on a wordpress platform and using some jQuery elements, this site is ready to really show off all of the stellar work that Nick does.
