jQzoom experiment

Today I wanted to post something jQuery related that I’ve been playing with.  I had done a magnifying effect using Flash a few weeks ago, and while slick… I wanted to see if I could do something similar using jQuery.  Giving credit where it’s due, this is primarily a Mind-Project creation.  I’ve been playing with it quite a bit and I’m really interested in it’s possibilities.  On my mind right now is e-commerce where the user could zoom-in on a product without leaving their current location. Roll over the image to see the results!

Sara Moe – Graphic Designer

saracmoeDoing a lot of work with a few up and coming graphic designers in the Twin Cities by fleshing out frameworks and giving them some specs so they can have input in the creation of their online portfolios.

First is Sara C. Moe – Graphic Designer.  Built on a javascript jquery backbone, images can be swapped out easily just using a file structure that Sara was given a crash course in.

Enjoy! – Sara C. Moe

Personal Projects – Sine Interactive, E-commerce mockup, Vieques Event Board

So, I’ve finally been able to set aside some time and get caught up on my side projects. So here we go…

picture-5Sine Interactive is live!  Long time coming and a million redesigns and discussions with Ben Sweet (the other half of S.I.) about the look, functionality, etc. etc.  I expect clintcarlson.com to turn into more of a personal site down the road as work gets funneled as Sine Interactive projects that I’ll be working on with Ben.

Part of Sine Interactive is a demo area where we will have examples of products we provide for customers to take a look at and spur their imagination.  The first one of which is up, and is a “low end” javascript driven e-commerce cart which items can be ordered via paypal.

We have others cooking that we’re working on that offer credit card security, customer login and content management systems as a “high end”… that will be in the demo area down the road as well, but for now The Wine Store is available to explore.  And if you need a cheap, quick e-commerce solution… you know who to call :)

This last one, I’m a little hesitant to make public as I still concider it in Beta, but Vieques List is online and ready for the people of Vieques, PR to contribute to.  Totally free, just something I wanted to do to promote communication around where I spend my winters.  Maybe it’ll explode, maybe no one will care… basically an experiment in forum/user managment systems that I did something productive with instead of just sending it to the Sine Interactive demo area.

Oh, and, I’ve made ClintCarlson.com multi-lingual.  You should see an option in the sidebar for Spanish, just a handy widget I came across.

Wow, enough blabbing & computers, gonna head to the beach and read for a bit :)

Internet Broadcasting Banner Advertisments

As you can tell by my lack up updates, I’ve been pretty busy at my contract position at Internet Broadcasting. I’m right in the middle of a 6 month interactive design contract where I am primarily creating advertisements for the web. I meant to update this as things went along with projects I was proud of, but just was too busy. So here are a few. Keep in mind that IBSYS legal says I cannot display the names or any logos of any projects I worked on. So if some of these seem a little out of balance or have solid color spaces in them, that’s just me keeping things legal :)

Shopping Center
Chiropractic
Flooring Company
Local Golf Connection
Dentist

There are many many more, I just need to get organized, which is a little hard to do while full time contract work + freelance is so busy :) MUCH more to come, I promise. I have a site for a pipeline contraction company coming soon, a photography stylist site, and a Stratasys flash intro all in their final stages!
